I’M CURIOUS
CAN GARDENS LIVE IN TYPE?
PATIO
POSTER / TYPOGRAPHY
OBJECTIVE
When asked to experiment with typography under an architectural theme, I was so excited and couldn’t wait to try it out. We needed to build a type according to the topics we chose under an architectural theme and make a series of posters to promote an event that related to the chosen area.
SOLUTION
As a person who has a deep love for nature and interior design, I chose Patio as my topic to work with. In my mind, whether it is on the roof top, or in the backyard, a patio is always packed with green plants and all kinds of elements from nature (at least that’s the way I envision a nice patio). They help us unwind from our daily busy lives, and also provide a great place to hang out with our friends and loved ones.
For 3 posters, I chose Plantation, Materials, and Plans as the sub-topics for each poster. Then, I handmade all the mini garden types to express the natural, spiritual, and peaceful feelings a patio represents.
